Director of Sales

The Director of North American Sales is responsible for developing and executing the strategic sales vision across the U.S. and Canada. This executive will lead a high-performing sales organization to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build long-term relationships with key customers and channel partners.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the North American sales strategy aligned with corporate goals and market dynamics.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Account Executives, and Sales Engineers.
Revenue Growth: Own and exceed regional revenue targets; manage forecast accuracy, pipeline development, and sales cycle performance.
Customer Engagement: Cultivate relationships with enterprise customers and key stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
Market Expansion: Identify new verticals, geographies, and partnership opportunities for growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services to drive a cohesive go-to-market approach.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide clear and consistent reporting on sales metrics, KPIs, and forecasts to executive leadership.
Experience:
10+ B2B enterprise software sales experience, with 5+ years in a sales leadership role.
Proven success in leading sales organizations in the LIMS, ELN, or broader life sciences technology sectors.
Deep understanding of regulated environments (GxP, ISO, etc.).
Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of building high-performance sales teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and data-driven sales management.
Selling to pharma, biotech, environmental testing labs, or CROs.
Experience managing multi-million dollar enterprise sales cycles.
Background in scientific informatics, lab operations, or digital transformation initiatives.
