Business Consultant

This position is highly visible within the organization and plays a key role in the success of the sales process
and customer retention. The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant is expected to operate with professionalism, strategic insight, and a customer-centric approach. The Business Consultant is integral to supporting the Sales Team in meeting annual revenue objectives through technical expertise and strategic assistance. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the laboratory informatics industry and strong proficiency with STARLIMS and LapStep products, which are owned by our organization. The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant will work closely with various teams to develop effective technical solutions tailored to customer needs, contributing to the overall sales strategy and influencing purchase decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales Team to drive pre-sales processes, ensuring alignment with revenue targets.
- RFI/RFP Assistance: Contribute to the technical part for RFIs and RFPs, ensuring comprehensive, accurate, and competitive technical and functional content.
- Solution Demonstration Development: Create and deliver tailored solution demonstrations that effectively showcase the strengths and values of STARLIMS and LapStep, addressing the specific needs and challenges of clients.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Professional Services, Product Management, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Support to facilitate cohesive and efficient pre-sales and post-sales workflows.
- Customer Engagement: Communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, act as a technical advisor, and build trust and partnership.
- Industry Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to ensure informed positioning of our solutions.
- Strategic Input: Provide feedback on product enhancements and strategic initiatives, taking into account both financial outcomes and customer impact.
- Integrity and Communication: Demonstrate honesty and transparency, presenting complete and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain a high level of integrity and keep commitments to uphold company values.
Who You Are:
- Strong understanding of the laboratory informatics industry.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory environments or strong familiarity with laboratory operations and informatics requirements.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory standards.
- Ability to develop tailored technical solutions and communicate complex information effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to create customer-focused solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for a variety of internal and client-facing interactions.
- Collaborative approach, working seamlessly with multiple departments to achieve business objectives.
- Basic experience with SQL-compliant databases, especially Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server products, is an advantage.
